Below you will find the sketch D drew while I was reading to him one night. It is our nightly ritual- he draws and I read. That night I happened to look over to see what he drew and I fell in love with it.
The following weeks I spoke to him about possibly trying painting. He said he could draw but he was not a painter. I told him that a painting is just a drawing with paint on top of it. Yes it is a simple explanation but true.
So after trying to convince him that he should do a painting I decided to place/scan his image into Adobe Illustrator and have him add some color.
Once he was satisfied, I drew it on old canvas that he used to explain his Pokemon evolutions.
And I painted it.
